Waweru,&#8221; the statement read.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FKCAUniversityOfficial%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02oejxJfiebhRWqUJo3S22AQAcwLSC9o8qYsni1ZyT4vUYmMZgz2yDsWmDC7TCsZeel&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"653\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Waweru had been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for seven years, since 2017.<\/p>\n<p>During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving the university&#8217;s growth and development.<\/p>\n<p>His unwavering belief in the transformative power of education was evident through his generous donation of Sh1 million in 2022, which served as seed capital for the KCA University Foundation to support infrastructure development.<\/p>\n<p>He demonstrated his commitment to the university&#8217;s progress by forfeiting all his allowances to further support the institution&#8217;s development initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>He also decided to forfeit all his allowances to the university\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<p>Waru was also Chairman of the board of East African Cables.<\/p>\n<p>TransCentury Plc chairperson Shaka Kariuki said in a statement that\u00a0 Waweru died on Friday, July 5, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Throughout his tenure, Dr. M. G.
